Welcome to the Black Hawk Robotics team page! Our team is a diverse group of hardworking individuals, ranging from freshmen to seniors, united together to learn, problem-solve, think, build, program, and create through robotics. Robotics programs teach mathematics and engineering skills, along with critical thinking and logic. Robotics encourages a new generation of scientists, mathematicians and engineers.
We compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), an international robotics competition. In FRC, teams build and compete with a robot that must be able to achieve specific goals, within a strict time limit, at designated competitions. Last year, the FRC challenge was to shoot exercise balls into specific goals. At the Colorado Regional FRC event, Black Hawk Robotics won the Innovation in Control Award. We also won the competition, qualifying us for the FRC National Championships where we made it to the quarterfinals. At Texas Robot Invitational, our first offseason competition, we made it to semifinals. We made it to semifinals at our second offseason competition, Texas Robot Roundup, and won the Play-Of-The-Day Award. For more on this year's competition, please check out the FIRST Page
